installation problem: data2.cab

Hi!

 

Just attempted to install kotor on my computer, it's been installed before but had to reformat my drive, it worked fine last time. Now an error comes up saying it can't find data2.cab. There's a tiny scratch on my play disk which I guess is the problem, I tried copying the disk to my computer which worked until it got to data2. Would It be possible for someone to send me their cab2 file? I really don't want to re buy and it seems to have gone up in price. I only need this one file, as I already have the rest of the disks. Thanks in advance!

 

edit: noticed a couple of similar threads, each without an answer. If it's because of legal reasons email me: {Snip} Email Removed... PM me please and keep it in private, though shouldn't be a problem as I have the disk

That's because there is no real way to help you here, most of us are not going to send people files like this. As we are just a fan site and not connected to LucasArts in any way we also want to be sure and remain in the legal area to keep our good relationship with them.

 

Your best bet would be to clean your discs and try again, failing that you can contact LucasArts for a replacement disc (cheaper than re-buying the whole thing if I remember correctly).

I live in the uk, it's just as expensive ordering the one disk, and i've tried cleaning it thoroughly I really don't see how sending one file when I have the disk would be a problem, it would be pirating if I asked for the whole disk but it's not like I can create a whole game from scratch with one cab file. It's really frustrating.
