darth_yoda2828
I have a problem in-game whenever I try to use Burst of Speed. Instead of creating a cool blur effect, it simply darkens my screen to the point of almost blacking it out entirely. I have tried everything. Using XP, Vista, Uninstalling, Reinstalling, Disabling Vertex Buffer Objects, removing all mods, putting them all back in, nothing works. The only thing I can do is uncheck Frame Buffer Effects but I refuse to do that because I have never seen the effects before (my last rig was like 8 years old when I got it). Some help would be nice. Char Ell
Not sure what help I can offer. The burst of speed, knight speed, and master speed force abilities all use the same motion blur that is, as you've already determined, a frame buffer effect. Your system specs are somewhat confusing or unclear in certain areas. Your graphics card has 4096 MB memory but your system only has 1024 MB? What kind of ATI graphics card are you using? What version of Catalyst drivers do you have? Also, it looks like you are running at fairly high anisotropy and anti-aliasing settings. Have you tried dialing those down and leaving frame buffer effects on to see what kind of effect that had?

I actually have 4 GB of DDR2 memory. I'm currently running Catalyst 8.10. I've had this problem before, on Windows XP, same system, 2 GB RAM, about 2 months ago. I believe I was running Catalyst 8.3. I took screenies, but I'm not sure as how to upload or show them. to answer your other question, changing aa/af settings does nothing.
Char Ell
I couldn't really find anything about a solution to this problem. I did see on BioWare's forums that others have reported experiencing the same problem but nobody had a solution for it. http://swforums.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=352372&forum=80&sp=
