[FIXED]Gmax problems

Ok this is really simple but its buggin me. This is my first time making a hilt, and the "cross/x in the boxes is way off centered. How can I move it to a better view of it. In some videos I see them moving the x around, and I cant seem to do it. How do I?

Ok Im using Q's tuts on video. My Problem: Is when he says to ignore backfacing then he clicks on the hilt and it turns red. It does not do this for me, he continues and selects insert. I do not have a insert button? What do I do?
