cadillacactor
I'm not sure if any of this will make sense, but I appeal to you for help nonetheless. I know this game is touchy with mods, but I'm wondering a couple things. See, I've played this on Xbox for years, but now that I've got the PC I'm wanting to go bat crazy with some of the freedoms that the PC version gives you. That being said, here are my questions: 1) Where are the files for the force powers? I'm wanting to perhaps look at creating a mod that allows you to change/reverse the alignment of certain powers or how much they cost (yes, a cheating mod) as well as make them able to be added through the console (yes, I know, a shameless cheating mod). Do you know where these would be? 2) Is it even possible to do the things I'm talking about with the force powers? Thanks for your help! Oh, and thanks for being part of my first post! Star Admiral
Welcome to LucasForums! To answer your questions, yes, all of that is possible. To perform the edit, you'll need to first get the excellent KOTOR Tools. Using that, you can edit the spells.2da file to change the alignment/cost of Force powers. Look under the forcepoints and goodevil columns. If you want to change the descriptions as well to match the changes (not needed unless you want the descriptions to be correct), you'll need to use the TLKEditor. Edit the entries inside the dialog.tlk file by looking up the numbers provided in the spelldesc column of the spells.2da file. As for making the mod usable on the XBox, I'm not sure, as I believe you need to mod the console itself to make it accept custom mods. Happy modding. - Star Admiral
cadillacactor
Thanks for the quick reply. For now I'll just stick to trying it out on PC. It'll take a lot for me to just not screw that up on its own. HAHA. Okay, let me verify with you if I've found the appropriate sites: KOTOR Tools: http://kotortool.starwarsknights.com/ TLK Editor: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=16716&id=1005 Are those the things you were talking about? Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate it and can't wait to try it out.

cadillacactor
Thanks, glovemaster. I found them. We'll see what damage I can do now. LOL BTW, it's refreshing to see open arms and patience to newbies on a forum once in awhile. Thanks. OK, I found this mod: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Any_Spell_Mod;77940x#Download Is it any good? It's basically exactly what I'm talking about! The only other thing I'm wondering is if there's a "givepower" console command like there's a "giveitem" command. Thanks for any further input.
