How do i use an item with guybrush?

 

Iam trying to break the little thing on his leg off!

isn't the game sposed to come with a little booklett that tells you what the controls are? mine does it's in the actual CD case it tells you how to move guybrush and how to use his ivintory and pick items up etc etc...

NO i mean how do i get something out and use it ON guybrush like use duck on guybrush,instead of something like use duck with empty spritzer bottle
