Rtas Vadum
hi everybody, saber modding section : first to those who don't know the meaning of USM : Ultimate saber mod second the ask crystal number usm_sbrcrstl_117 so his file IF there is only one is usm_sbrcrstl_117.uti first question ; how can I edit this files second one : how can I modify the color of this (for TSL) I need one white or silver third : well, I would like the same one but ... in double-blade fourth one : what I have to modify / do to make it compatible with K1 Miscellaneous modding section : I realy would like the whithdrow option of TSL but for K1 well, if you could answer to all my question I realy thank you so much One:Editing the "usm_sbrcrstl_117.uti": You need the Kotor Tool to edit the uti, which can be found here, under 'General Modding tools': http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php Two:Blade Color: All the "C-style" or "Count Dooku" sabers use the blade textures that come with the vanilla version of the game. So you could either change edit the game's green blade texture, or simply extract the game's silver blade tex, and rename it to "lsabregren01.tga". Three: This would take a heavy edit of the model, as it likely isn't as easy as opening up a modeling program and connecting the ends. Four: There is a version of Dooku's saber that Oldflash made for K1, found here: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Movie_Style_Replacement_Lightsaber_Hilts;72773 Editing the model to get it to work in K1 when its meant for K2, isn't something that is looked upon very well here. Miscellaneous: The withdraw option could be done with a script, but that isn't something I am very knowledgeable of.
ben_skywalker
One:Editing the "usm_sbrcrstl_117.uti": You need the Kotor Tool to edit the uti, which can be found here, under 'General Modding tools': http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php ok thanks, in witch part of the program can I open it? Two:Blade Color: All the "C-style" or "Count Dooku" sabers use the blade textures that come with the vanilla version of the game. So you could either change edit the game's green blade texture, or simply extract the game's silver blade tex, and rename it to "lsabregren01.tga". So if I can edit I can make a new LS with the silver color, Isn't it? Three: This would take a heavy edit of the model, as it likely isn't as easy as opening up a modeling program and connecting the ends. ok I think that too, it's so bad so I would like to ask more experiment modders than me to try to do this saber (it's a friend of mine who get this image in his profile in another forum : . Four: There is a version of Dooku's saber that Oldflash made for K1, found here: http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/Movie_Style_Replacement_Lightsaber_Hilts;72773 realy thank you I will test that in a few minutes/hours... or tomorow depand of my friends... Editing the model to get it to work in K1 when its meant for K2, isn't something that is looked upon very well here. Ok i'll try to remember that, thanks! Another question is it possible to add the silver color in K1? Miscellaneous: The withdraw option could be done with a script, but that isn't something I am very knowledgeable of. it's that I've in mind so if someone know how to do that or know a mod whitch do that he/she realy please me
Rtas Vadum
ok thanks, in witch part of the program can I open it? Just click File-> Open GFF Files...-> Then just find the file within your override. So if I can edit I can make a new LS with the silver color, Isn't it? Well, if you wanted a "new" lightsaber, simply editing the green blade texture file won't do it. All that would do is change the green C-style saber blade, to a silver blade. Another question is it possible to add the silver color in K1? It is, but you would either need to replace one of the other colors, or create a new saber that would use a custom silver blade texture(as in, not the one from TSL). ben_skywalker
Just click File-> Open GFF Files...-> Then just find the file within your override. Oki realy thank you, but I can just change the description, not the color where can I change it please? Well, if you wanted a "new" lightsaber, simply editing the green blade texture file won't do it. All that would do is change the green C-style saber blade, to a silver blade. if I want a new light saber I just need to chage it name, isn't it? if no what I have to do more than change the color in the file and rename it? It is, but you would either need to replace one of the other colors, or create a new saber that would use a custom silver blade texture(as in, not the one from TSL). I already have the silver texture just need to put it in the C-style saber blade is the one you gave me could take it ?
