MattiFS Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I guess this is where I should put this but if not then could someone move it for me? Anyway, Recently I got bored of playing KotOR so I wanted to start playing TSL, I've been playing KotOR with a mod that makes all force powers work with all armours by changing the Spells.2da so I went to look for a TSL mod that did the same thing in the same way but couldn't find it so I set off to try it myself. i eventually found out that the forbiditemmask was the one I needed to change, but next to that is requireitemmask which I guessed made it so it wouldn't work without a specific type of item. That got me thinking about Throw Lightsaber and how funny it would be to see someone throw a sword or even a gun in the same manner so I changed the value to 0x0000, saved it and tested to see if it would work, sadly it didn't, is there anything I can do to make it usable with any weapon (or even without one) or is it a lost cause?
deathdisco Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 It might be like force jump, which only works with a lightsaber. It's probably tied to those specific "baseitems". For example I've played around with creating a new lightsaber type in baseitems.2da. Even if I copy the original entry without modification the new one will not work with force jump. So it's probably hardcoded. I could be wrong, I haven't tried it with saberthrow. Also it's a force power vs. a feat. It probably could be scripted to work with other melee weapons. 2da editing is probably not the way to go.
MattiFS Posted November 5, 2009 Author Posted November 5, 2009 Thanks for the info, like I said, I just thought it'd be funny/cool and what not so this thread can be closed unless someone wants to take up the job of making a mod to allow any weapon throwing.
Lord2 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Throw lightsaber and both force jump would be awesome. A huge advancement if someone could figure that out...
VarsityPuppet Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 you wouldn't be able to throw your saber in mid air.. you'd have to throw it, jump and then it would come back to you wherever you end up landing.
