Totenkopf
Sort of reminds me of the gungan cities from TPM... Welcome to city of future Welcome to the city of the future. Tianjin is China's first eco-city, designed by the Surbana Urban Planning Group, and is set to be completed in 2020. http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Tianjin-Eco-City-China/ss/events/lf/011411ecocity
Tommycat
Bubble cities are not new. They've been around since at least the 60's. And they all have the same problems. Recycling the air inside, and heat generation. I certainly wouldn't want to live in a bubble city version of Phoenix haha. It would be like ALWAYS having your windows rolled up in your car. A failure of the air recycling system would cause the bubble to become insanely hot rather quickly. Though admittedly, you can control what goes in a bit better. But the cost of cooling would be very high. Plus, I'd miss rainstorms and cool spring breezes.
