first things first: i have the PC version, and i'll just go ahead and say this now: this is the best FPS to come out pretty much since the first Crysis was released back in 2007. and no, i'm not exaggerating about it being the best shooter out there. comparing it to several top-tier games that have come out since (CoD: MW2, Black Ops, Halo: Reach, Bad Company 1 & 2, Left 4 Dead, FarCry 2, and Bioshock 1 & 2), and Crysis 2 nails it on the most important aspect of any game: the gameplay.

 

talk all you want about the graphics, but the gameplay is the true attraction to this game. i still haven't played another shooter that has the kind of depth of approach the gameplay. you just have so many options on how to go about your business of, erm, shooting not only because your character has many natural options in the form of the Nanosuit he wears, but also because the environments are so well designed. you are rewarded for planning ahead, but the game is also forgiving enough that you can play by ear when you want to. and that goes for both the campaign and the multiplayer.
