Me. My Mac. And Mods.

I'm new here and a avid Kotor game. I have Kotor for my Macbook (not the app). All I wanted to download is the Save Game Editor or something very similar.

I am extremely n00bish at modding. I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction.

First off....Welcome to LF! :D

Currently there are no native save game editors for the Mac. But you could try downloading Wine Bottler, it allows you to run Windows programs natively on your Mac (don't worry it is free).

I have a mac too, but have never tried to use a save game editor this way. I have, however, used this method to install mods that use the TSL patcher. So, I do not know this will work.

What are you trying to do with the save game editor? Because there may be a simpler method to achieving what you want.

I just want to start off with full (I don't know the right words) Attributtes, skills, and force powers as well as a lightsaber (owning all crystals too). I was under the impression that the save game editor was the way to go.

I'd also like to add a few visual mods, such as clothes and character faces.

Hopefully this isn't too complicated.

First try the save game editor. If that doesn't work you could use the cheat codes to change the level of your attributes and skills. You can't add force powers, but you can add items.

If you want to start the game off as a jedi, you can always use one of the mods(Links below)

You don't get all of the force powers, but you do get all 20 levels to select force powers. Granted you might not get a new force power (or two) every level; but, it will most likely achieve what you are looking for.

As for the visual mods those are easy to install.

(In case you do not know)

Just drag the mod files into the override folder. Try to find mods with TSL patchers it makes installing easier (and allows for more mods to be installed since it edits the .2da files that a lot of mods have).
