I am trying to get the gubernatiorial symbol. Elaine will not only NOT give it to me, she won't even talk about it! Seriously, I have started the game 4 times now thinking I'd either missed something or did something out of order. Well.......I went to several walkthroughs and still I can't obtain it. I have left nothing out, and yet when I try to talk to her all I get is the line "Nah, I think there's something in our marriage vows about that" Over and over. I have talked to both the ex-partners and the harbormaster. She said I needed the "authority".I gave the "cushy"contract to the right people. I've done it all! Why won't this work, it's driving me nutz! Please, can you help me figure this out? I can't imagine it being a program glitch, but I'm beginning to wonder. Elaine will not talk to me at all!Once I gave her the contract to sign, that's it. She doesn't say anything to me. I have never seen a chance to talk about my transportation. There MUST be something I'm missing. ANYONE have any ideas? As far as the game goes, I found it quite easy till this point. Makes no sense at all. ANYONE?? At this point about 12 times. AS I said earlier I've been to WALKTHRU'S. I have done everything included in them. Yes, I spoke to the harbormistress,yes Elaine signed BOTH contracts. I tried NOT having her sign both...no difference.I have my crew:the two ex-Monkey Islanders, the navigator.Have I perhaps missed a crew member? Believe it or not tech support couldn't figure it out. BUT....they were making blanket suggestions and one was to change my resolution to 800X600. THAT worked! When I went up to Elaine after that she spoke immediately. Now, I'm not computer illiterate, but I MUST be.....because who would have thought that resolution could cause something like that? I would have thought it generally wouldn't run well at all then. I had NO other problems with the game, it was working beautifully! Oh well gotta go play.... Asus hasn't had any drivers besides beta ( which I have the current)since the day I bought it 2 years ago!(or is it 3)NO SUPPORT from them at all. In fact they never even tried to come up with any new drivers for my card....by the time I got it home it was a dinosaur already. i visit their site to check occasionally, but always the same drivers. crownhaus Posted November 16, 2001 Author Share Posted November 16, 2001 Yes, that's the site. I am running 5.33a and have been for 2 years. No new drivers since then. The released driver had problems (this is the tv in/out card) so I'm stuck with this Beta till it dies I guess lol. Good card but no Asus cards for me in the future.
