Corrects: - Corrects an issue with selecting your 3D p***-through card when the primary card has 3D capability. - Corrects an issue with certain settings being saved in the saved game, including controller and alter gee whiz factor settings. - Corrects minor sound issues in various areas of the game. - Corrects various minor gameplay issues, including: - The ability to complete a puzzle on Lucre Island which uses the music box. Wait, what music box? - A crash which is caused by completing a puzzle on Melee Island multiple times. - Teleporting kudu jerky pretzels. - The puppets remaining on Guybrush's hands after you press O to exit the set after using the puppets. - The inability to find the chef after following him into the kitchen. - Corrects an issue with the light sorting incorrectly in the cave on Lucre Island when Guybrush walks into the light. - Corrects the error message that congratulates you and tells you to get back to work, besides, you are there to play, not work... The music box from the vault of the bank, which is needed to get the prosthetic hand? The inability to find the chef after following him into the kitchen. What? There was never a point in the game where you actually follow him to the kitchen... You need to draw him out, so that you can get in, not the other way around. And after you do what you need in the kitchen, you won't need to look for him, as the scripted event should automatically place, and he'll give you what you need. How did you find out about the patch, and what ***urances do we have that it won't mess up our system? Is there an announcement somewhere that we can read? You can also get the patch here: ftp://ftp.mirror.sk/pub/dlh/pub/patches/pc-patches/3dcard-patches/monkey4v11.zip I found the link at: http://www.patches-scrolls.de/index3.html Its a good site and I have used it for ages now. They gather all game patches together so you can find them easily enough. Its not 'dodgy' or virused or anything. I'm just bloody trying to help so shutup and go back to your husband, he's probably geting withdrawel symptoms from your whineing. kung-fu-grip Posted November 23, 2000 Share Posted November 23, 2000 For anyone interested, I loaded the patch and it fixed the slowdown and bug message problems(I am using a Voodoo3).!
