Kotor damaged saves on Xbox 360

I am playing the first Kotor on a Xbox 360. I will try to load a game, but it won't load and says "Damaged Save". The only save that works is the autosave. I am playing with no mods or cheats. PLEASE help me!

I don't think there's anything you can do... It's probably something with the disk. You can still get the platinum hits version for like $15 so not really a big deal.

 

Edit: or try clearing the kotor data from your hard drive any starting a new game?

That's just great...this was the second disc I bought because the first one didn't play.
