Lucasarts has used the engine which they would most be able to focus on STORY. The campaigns will be fantastic, better than any game we have seen, and the art is gonna be great. I do think the civs will be much different and it wont be just differences in art. For example, if you are the empire, please try to attack me with air!! Guest Tie Guy Posted October 23, 2001 Share Posted October 23, 2001 WEll, i would want it based on RA2 because of how they handle the economy, harvesting food and collecting rocks just doesn't seem right in a Star Wars. I also like how all the sides are completly unique, which is more tru to the Star Wars universe. The Naboo could never be the equal of the Empire. The Empire would be the hard hitters like the soviets, and the Rebs/Naboo would be the finesse fighters like the Allies. But, we can't always get what we want, and the game will still be fun. Lord JayVizIon Posted October 23, 2001 Share Posted October 23, 2001 the civs in swgb are varied, but not as much as starcraft. in sc, zergs can burrow, while terrans have buildings that can move from place to place. sc is probably the most innovative rts i've seen, and sure i wish there were some sc elements incorporated into the development of this game (i.e. i asked gaber if mines were going to be used and he said no). however, i think the aok engine will suffice and this game should wind up being pretty solid....
