GEJoeSolo Posted July 1, 2001 Posted July 1, 2001 resurv officer trainning corps, or something like that. something the states has. againe I wont say anything more
GEJoeSolo Posted July 1, 2001 Posted July 1, 2001 k dude, but looking at that pic you have there I'd say your a scron. and you wana join the army? better bulk up and get used to taking a beating or your gunna die dude. and why would you join the army. no free time, early bed, early getting up. ohhhh drill, it must be hard to walk around in formation. if I was fighting a war I think I'd want people that know how to fight. and yes I know it's an officer thing your doing, but if you cant pull your share your men wont respect you.
wardz Posted July 1, 2001 Posted July 1, 2001 Its a prestige thing, it looks good, builds confidence, makes you think faster, mor independantly, too many things to mention at 00:15 ! good night. wardz
Arragorn Posted July 1, 2001 Posted July 1, 2001 It's up to him actually. Anyone that knows how to behave can earn respect. And in the army they teach you how to react and give commands. It's more like acting, not something you were born with...
Mafia_Jabba Posted July 1, 2001 Author Posted July 1, 2001 its not all physical fitness solo..apparently your vision of the army is very blurred by media propaganda... Well guys its my bed time and Im leaving tomorrow..bye bye
GEJoeSolo Posted July 1, 2001 Posted July 1, 2001 I, Rambo, swear to sign away four years of my mediocre life to the United States Army because I couldn't score high enough on the ASVAB to get into the Air Force, I'm not tough enough for the Marines, and the Navy won't take me because I can't swim. I will wear camouflage every day and tuck my trousers into my boots because I can't figure out how to use blousing straps. I promise to wear my uniform 24 hours a day even when I have a date. I will continue telling myself that I am a fierce killing machine because my drill sergeant told me I am, despite the fact that the only action I ever will see is a court martial for sexual harassment. I acknowledge the fact that I will make E-8 in my first year of service, and vow to maintain that it is because I scored perfect on my PT test. After completion of my sexual -- er -- I mean, BASIC training, I will attend a different Army school once every other month and return knowing less than I did when I left. On my first trip home after boot camp, I will walk around like I am cool and propose to my ninth-grade sweetheart. I will make my wife stay home, because if I let her out she might leave me for a smarter, better-looking Air Force guy. Should she leave me twelve times, I will continue to take her back. While at work, I will maintain a look of knowledge while getting absolutely nothing accomplished. I will arrive at work every day at 1000 hours because of morning PT and leave every day at 1300 hours to report back to the "COMPANY." I understand that I will undergo no training whatsoever that will help me get a job upon separation, and will end up working construction with my friends from high school. I will brag to everyone about the Army giving me $30,000 for college, but will be unable to use it because I can't pass a placement exam. So help me God. Mafia_Jabba Posted July 8, 2001 Author Posted July 8, 2001 Solo youa re sad man..you have to respect nor honor
matt-- Posted July 8, 2001 Posted July 8, 2001 If they had starships, I would join whatever military organization they are used with.
matt-- Posted July 8, 2001 Posted July 8, 2001 Geez, Jabba! 11:03AM!?!?!? Do my eyes deceive me? That training has gotten to you!
GEJoeSolo Posted July 8, 2001 Posted July 8, 2001 you talk about respect and honor as if they were a phiscial substance that I could go dig out of the ground. I have respect for the people that earn it from me. as for honor your right I dont have any, and it's better that way. I sure hope they arn't teaching you about honor at that thing. coz honor isn't gunna save your ass in a fight or a war or any time. a fight is a fight is a fight. I dont care what you say, I would do any thing I had to kick a guys ass in a fight. to hell with honor!
Obi Kwan Posted July 8, 2001 Posted July 8, 2001 Solo- From what it sounds like, you had some very horrible experience with or in the armed forces; thats too bad but dont take it out on Jabba. There is no need.
Mafia_Jabba Posted July 9, 2001 Author Posted July 9, 2001 I guess you have to experience it to know it
TheJackal_jk2 Posted July 9, 2001 Posted July 9, 2001 My dad was in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Because of this we moved a lot. He was posted in Germany, so we all moved there once. The only reason we moved there is because of the ColdWar. I loved living there. But I was very young so I guess I only remember good memories However I am happy the ColdWar ended and we got to move back to the Great White North.
DashRendar11587246510 Posted July 9, 2001 Posted July 9, 2001 I dunno. My dad was in the reserves. He told me a ton of cool stories. However, I do not want to join the military. I love blowin away enemies in computer games only. However, it would be cool to see a starfighter corps.
