Mafia_Jabba Posted June 25, 2001 Posted June 25, 2001 What file sharing programs do you guys use... I have Gnucleus..it works pretty good? you guys?
matt-- Posted June 26, 2001 Posted June 26, 2001 I use edonkey2000. It functions differently than a gnutella-based program. Basically, it finds multiple sources and downloads segments of the file from each. It works well and the system results in faster downloads. Sometimes, I can reach over 100kbs downloads. I'd keep another gnutella(I use limewire, which is Java based) program on hand though, there is a larger population. I also use morpheus which uses a similar technique as edonkey2000. That's run by musiccity, so don't count on any copyrighted material, not that either of us are into that.
Mafia_Jabba Posted June 26, 2001 Author Posted June 26, 2001 Im sure my war faced scared ya into it...*growl*
Mafia_Jabba Posted June 26, 2001 Author Posted June 26, 2001 donkey...I dont get it..where do my downloads go?
matt-- Posted June 26, 2001 Posted June 26, 2001 They go into the folder you specify as "incoming" when you install. The default is C:\Program Files\eDonkey2000\incoming
matt-- Posted June 27, 2001 Posted June 27, 2001 yes, unfortuantely there is no preview. But that's why I also use morpheus.
Guest digl Posted June 28, 2001 Posted June 28, 2001 Are you sure its impossible? Theres probably a temp file somewhere that you could open
matt-- Posted June 28, 2001 Posted June 28, 2001 morpheus...run by music city. Anything is possible with enough expertise. I just can't be bothered. I am patient... and lazy.
Guest digl Posted June 28, 2001 Posted June 28, 2001 Yes, but as matt said you wont find any copyrighted material there
Edward_Zeth Posted July 2, 2001 Posted July 2, 2001 Where in other programs i get maybe 20 kbs in Napster/Napigator if I'm lucky, in Morpheus, iMESH, and all those other Music City programs I get less than 1 kbs. AND I HAVE CABLE! In WinMX I get at least 80kbs
