Clefo
If the Empire gets it, then every single race has to get it.. Its called balancing...
Guest Supreme Warlord
They should have bombarment abilties... I agree with the author of this thread. Each civs would have special abilities instead of uniques units. Empire would have bombarment ability. Rebel Alliance would have the choice to blow up any building with a bomb(they are guerrilla people when the birth of the Alliance happen). Trade Federation has the ability to jam the Commander communication to his base for like 2 mins or something, prevent the commander from building units and blah. Naboo....THey dont deserve a ability and same for Gungans. IT would be cool.
Guest SlashAndBurn
That would be sweet. And i agree with Warlord and Clefo, every race could have an ability of this sort...Kind of like the ion cannon and nuke in the origional Command and Conqure game. the ability should have a LONG charge up time though so its not something that can be used too often. Dagobahn Eagle
Not "super-abilities". The absence of abilities is what makes GB fun to play. Come on, in Red Alert you could build a base with 10 turrets and double walls, only to be severely crippled by cruise missiles from across the map. Rebel Alliance would have the choice to blow up any building with a bomb(they are guerrilla people when the birth of the Alliance happen). This is the only one I faintly agree with. But how would this be handled? Like with the Jæger infantry units in Ground Control (equipped with three bombs that can be deployed at any spot and detonated at any time later)? But then again, how would rearming work? Garrisoning the unit in a troop center or something? Would be really hard to implement..
Young David
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I absolutely hate that in stratagy games. That's why I'm perfectly fine with AoK and GB. If you want to nuke, play RA or SC
Guest Supreme Warlord
or Alpha Centauri(I just launched 40 of planet buster and ended the game that fast , it is so much fun) Also Civilization have nukes but they are not powerful and no fun.... I think Super Abilities should be added....
Guest BountyHunter
Some kind of Air Strike super weapon or weapons would be nice. It should cause moderate to heavy damage but can only be deployed when you have one of your men in the LOS of the area you want to destroy. A small anti air strike mech unit should be created that will disallow long distance air strikes in a set radius similar to those mobile Gungan shield/yellow circles. This way you could build those to keep your base safe from long distance bombing. Calling in an air strike is a legit part of war and its great against players who rely mostly on Turrets to win games. It could work and would make for a good expansion. Guest Supreme Warlord
That is a excellent Idea BountyHunter! Like the ghoststalker in the game starcraft? He point a laser at a location and it guides the nukes to there. Between the time that nuke launch and explosion the enemy can try to find the person using the laser to guide it and destroy him before it explodes on his base. So waste a superweapon and blah. I like BountyHunter Idea with a little starcraft element mixed in.
Dagobahn Eagle
Okay, I hate to interrupt, but why are we discussing this? It won't be added to the game anyway, right? But okay, just to have something to talk about: Super-abilities Imperials: Star Destroyer bombardement (Destroys all units and smaller buildings in a specific area, and severely damages fortresses and command centers. No effect on shielded units or buildings). Counter: Shields Wookies: Traps (all units entering a specific area on land dies). Counter: hmmm.. LOS upgrades ? Gungans: Water mines (all units entering a specific area in water dies). Counter: Again, upgrades... ??? Naboo: Ultra-Conversion (convert all units in a specific area) Counter: Research some resistance tech Rebels: Calamarian Cruiser bombardement Same as imperial one. Counter: Shields Trade Federation: Reprogram computers (turn over control of all buildings, except fortresses, in an area to the player using it (buildings cannot be deleted, though) for a couple of minutes). Counter: Research resistance
Guest Supreme Warlord
HEY I like those super abilities and especially the Trade Federation however as for Naboo I do not like it because they dont deserve to be on the darned game! Keep up those cool dreamy ideas:D
Guest Lord Maul
Why not just make such "super abilities" a level 5 tech? By that time it would be easier to balance out the game. Each civ would be or should be close enough to neutralizing the threat at that time. But it could make for some interesting gameplay.
Guest puggy
Maybe if you think it will unbalance the game have a tick box like in red alert giving you the option of enabling super weapons or not.
Guest Supreme Warlord
I agree with puggy. THere should be on or an off button. I played red alert 1,2 and Tiberium Sun before and they do have that option. I love it. Do that idea mr. devolper.

Guest Supreme Warlord
It problaby not gonna happen. It may be too large of an order.... They may just add civs or something like that. I hope the come out with a X-Pac.
duder
i really dont think the idea is that good. the gameplay dosnt really call for it...i just want to see more variation of civs!!! and a few gameplay tweaks.
