Sorry I havnt been able to reply, but ive been really busy with hockey. And all I'm doing is expressing my opion, you don't have to agree with it. And for the reasons I already stated them. I mean the GAMEPLAY is to slow, compared to star craft it takes hour to have a good fun game. And I played the demo and I enjoyed it, but after a while it just gets boring and EE is way better. EE's graphics might be worse (I don't agree) but graphics isnt everything, it's how much fun you have while you play it. Like star craft the graphics are horrible but more people play it then SWGB. So I guess my main reason I don't like about SWGB is IT'S NOT FUN!!!!

I don't agree with you that the gameplay is too slow. I want the time to build up a base, do some attacks, research stuff without freaking out the way I did while I played starcraft. SC just was a bit too fast paced for me, a game should be relaxing, not irritatingly fast. I play to have fun, not to be sweating behind my pc.

 

Some people, like you, dont agree with me, they like very fast gameplay, other people, like me, like to take it a little bit slower.

Ghost have you ever played the real version, its like 10 times better than the demo. It doesn't take an hour to attack somebody. Ever been rushed before. You have to move fast to get ahead and if you don't your dead.

I completely agree. The fun of the game is in the building. I like starting with a few units and a town center, and building an entire civilzation basically from "scratch." I like researching things, and watching my units get more powerful. I like going through the different ages and watch the buildings go from simiple to much more complicated structures. And there's nothing more satisfying, after spending a few hours building an awesome civilization, to take those highly improved, upgraded units, and kicking your enemy's hind-end.

 

I can see that you might not like Galactic Battles, if all you want is the combat and one doesn't like the building. However, I submit that there's little excuse to complain, as it says, right there on the box, that the game is based on the AoK engine. It does *not* say, "based on the popular StarCraft game engine." Seems to me, if someone who doesn't like AoK buys the game, he's got no one to blame but himself.

This game may suck in graphics but I LOVE THE Stragey and the mix of units in it!
