Influenza
Since the SWGB team is rumored to actually read these boards, I thought I'd post an interesting bug report here. There is a way, when playing as the Rebels, to garrison your Airspeeders in your Fortresses. My friend came upon it yesterday while playing a modem game against me. All you do is set the Fortress' rally-point (or whatever it's called) on itself. Any Airspeeders you build from then on will be garrisoned inside the Fortress. Just thought you should know . Guest Elite Raider
Thats the way the game works. Its the same for most buildings and the units they produce.
Guest Stan|SCN Punk
It's not a bug, in AOK you can garrison batterimg rams and onagers in siege workshops by using this method.
Heavyarms
you can do that with any unit. It states they can be garrisoned in building only if you set a gather point while being created in building.
Guest Stan|SCN Punk
Yes. Except for this special case, there is no way for you to garrison anything into buildings like troop centers, mech factories, or air bases.
Compa_Mighty
Of course you can, set the rally point in the building.
Chessack
This works for all air units in air bases, ships in ports, etc, and has always worked for AoK as well (of course, not for Air units, but for everything else). If you set the gather point inside the building creating the unit, the unit stays inside the building. I used this trick against the computer just a few days ago, when I had built a an Air Base inside my ally's town to help defend his helpless hind-end from repeated attacks by the enemy. I was busy working on my own town, and I got sick of my newly-generated fighters haring off in attack mode to go after the enemy and getting shot down piecemeal. So I built 10 fighters and set the rally point inside the base, then went to develop my own town. I came back to the base a while later, all 10 fighers were "garrisoned" inside, and I just clicked them out, grouped them, and send them out to harass the enemy troops attacking my ally's town. So... I think this is correct behavior, and certainly if the other air units are allowed to do it, the speeders should be too. May the Force be with you. Influenza
I honestly had no idea you could do that. I guess I should read the manual a little closer...
