Dirth Vedar
I wonder if they're going to tweak some of these forces to make them more useful. Force speed and force jump is great, but what about things like grip, heal, lightning, etc.? I remember I was pretty disappointed with the grip because as you're choking them, they kept shooting at you. Shouldn't the bad guy be worried about breathing? Maybe lightning should be given a stunned effect, so you can't keep running at full speed while being fried? And so forth.

Look at force lightning in the E3 movie clip, it looks sweet.
digl
Most force powers were pretty useful in JK Sure they can be improved, but speed and jump were not the only useful ones as you say surge+health was invincibility, grip was one of the most used force powers I agree that lightning was not as useful compared to the others

I agree with eveything elase u said.
Ushgarak
You know, force powers are another area where, in a game, there should be a careful balsnce between making a fun and playable game and making it feel like the films. I know people like their Force powers, but I can't help thinking the JK games go a little too far towards arcade-style force powers. I mean, all that messing around with lightning and grip and so on seems totally at variance to Jedi fighting styles as seen in the films, where the only thing they use the force for in combat is making them faster, stronger and just plain better. Combined with their impeccable senses, of course, and near-future sense. Like I say, I appreciate this is a game and fun powers are cool, but I thought lightning was a little OTT (especially as it may well be an Emperor-only power), and as for stuff like Deadlysight and destruction... what the heck were those meant to be? I guess 'magic' healing is forgivable in an FPS like this, but persuade making you invisible overdid it as well... In that E3 video clip, the man playing says you can throw your sabre a lot more so you 'feel more like a Jedi'. Sorry? As far as I am concerned, throwing my sabre makes me feel totally UN-Jedi like. It might look cool in a duel but it wasn't that useful, and they NEVER seem to do it in the films when fighting enemies in general! I'm not saying you should take away all these powers, because again, as I say, this IS a game. But I still think they are a little over the top, even with that considered. TrUeFoRcE
force speed and jump are probably the most used in the game, i thought force grip was pretty useful, force lightning wasnt i agree with that, judging from the 1 movie clip released the guy said "force powers galore" so im guessing that there will be alot of useful as well as jsut for fun force powers in the game, from the looks of it the force powers are going to be great , jsut check out some pics of force lightning, and push both not that useful in the previous jedi games but now they look like there going to be a large part of the game...so all we can do is wait **waits **
SlowbieOne
they NEVER seem to do it in the films when fighting enemies in general! True, but in the expanded universe novels it is used quite a bit. Raven is drawing things from all aspects of Star Wars. I'm all for it.
Ushgarak
Well, I don't want to sound completely inflexible about that but I really would like the balance to be a bit more in favour of the films.
Lord_FinnSon
I personally found Jump, Pull & Push most useful Force powers in JK & MotS(I also used to throw my saber at stormies after I had pulled guns away from their hands) and hearing that now you can even pull enemies towards you or push back flying detonators, I'm pleased with changes that have taken place. As so many people has voiced their oppinion, Force speed was ridiculous from the very beginning, and I rarely used it in SP, unlike in MP where you had to often run away from those grazy people using rail detonators. As someone suggested once, it might be much more realistic, if you could make only a short dash(motion blur applied to runner) at a time; that's how you get quickly away from you enemy if needed to, but don't look like a Road Runner.
