Guest Imladil
I'm sorry. I'll try being serious for a while. ...*Ergx!*... Naw, screw that; it's boring! Also Kid Rock, Britney Spears Christina Aguliera (is that right?) and country actually isn't that bad. ------------------ If only you knew the power of the dark side
Guest Imladil
Well, I like Kid Rock's new CD. "Cowboy" is a cool song. But I'm very sorry to hear that you like Britney Spears AND country music...maybe one or the other I could live with, but not both. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to cut your head off. Guest Lt Guilo
Yeah, that's a pretty melody......but for some of us, that one's been played out. Guest Lujayne
My sister and I were discussing the first concerts we had ever gone to, and I said "the first concert you went to was Gowan!" My 15 year old cousin, who happened to be listening to us, said, "who the *! is Gowan?" And then I cried... --L.

Guest Imladil
I am delighted, at long last, to see someone post here who can deliberately make even less sense than I do! Hip-hip hurrah, tally-ho and all that. Less gas, and loosen up the traction field as you go around; then thrust that mamabird right into the sun on the straightaway! Guest Barticus
Hmmmm, someone mentioned Buffett, but let's add VanHalen, Clapton, Richie Sambora, Dokken, SRV, Spin Doctors, Old GNR (first 2 albums), Joan Osborne, Old Metallica, Eagles, Malmsteen, etc. Oh God, I'm old. ------------------ Barticus Ru "Never throw things at a telekinetic"-Vance Astrovik

Guest skw
LIGHT DEFEATS THE DARKNESS ----------------------------------------- put a lamp in a dark room. Is the lamp swallowed up in the darkness, or does the darkness disperse
Guest Imladil
Aha! I knew that if I kept reading his posts, Skw would come up with something interesting! I'll take this one from the scientific point of view: The lamp is not swallowed by darkness. Darkness is illusory in nature, being nothing more than a lack of energized photons within a given area. Like any vaccum, when something else is introduced, its "voidness" is immediately dispelled by the presence of that something. This is why a bright room cannot be darkened by adding darkness but must be reduced by adjusting the source of light. Wherever there is darkness, it simply means that there is no light, not that another medium is filling the area. Taking this idea straight down the old surreal highway, let me pose the question, "As opposed to mere darkness, what does absolutely nothing look like?" ? ------------------ "The entire universe is simply the fractal chaos boundary between intersecting domains of high and low energy." --Imladil the Wanderer "If Jupiter obeys liquid rules of physics, wouldn't it be teardrop-shaped?" --Little Jimmy
