Try to attack a tower with stormtroopers vs bombers see which falls first. Stormtroopers are better vs certain things than air, just like they should be. There are 2 more levels to go. Also, it fits in with the sci-fi settings for the bombers to drop little yellow blobs...would it make since for a bomber to drop oversized dart lookin things on a building like in the cartoons? Count the time it would take to make a quick hit and fade on some Prefab shelters with 10 ywings vs 10 Stormtroopers.. Your troopers are on a kamikaze mission even if they would succeed, at least the ywings can hit.. and fly off back to AA cover.. Think... strategize.. I find your lack of faith disturbing... This game is about taken over a space of land. How do you do that with air units?? In the battle of hoth why didnt the empire just use air units?? Obviously because air units cant take control of a base. So air definitely shouldnt be the dominate presence in this base. Every army needs troops as the major presence, if nothing else to take out towers and anti air facilities. This game definitely was not made with air as the dominate presence and it shouldnt have. Once again, in star wars on planets (Hoth, Endor, Naboo), air fighters have not been prevelant.
