digl
Why they dont even mention their games for GB/GBA in their website?I dont know if there is any for game gear or another system The games are not listed in the products page, there are no press releases, etc I was just playing JPB in GBA, and its pretty good And it does have the well known by all of us LucasArts logo screen in the beginning, and LEC also appears in the manual Of course they are not the devs, but they do spotlight all the PC games they are not directly developing
Sherack Nhar
They're not the devs, but I don't think they're the publishers either. Isn't it THQ that has the publishing rights? Lucasarts is just listed there because they hold the rights of the Star Wars license.
Norimaki
This topic made me think about something else, actually. Revolution Software announced a GBA port of Broken Sword, right? Don't you think that classic Lucasarts adventure games would work pretty well on the Gameboy Advance, too? I mean if they can shrink SVGA graphics down to the GBA screen, surely they could do the same thing with Monkey Island or Indiana Jones adventure games, right? What do you think? digl
Sounds like a good idea, but I guess the problem is that those games have little replay value
Norimaki
Oh, I think they have a lot of replay value. I still play Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island every now and then. It's like watching an old episode of the Simpsons -- you don't get tired of them too that easily. I think there's still a lot of money to be made with adventure games on consoles. Didn't Escape From Monkey Island do pretty well on PS2?
Sherack Nhar
The biggest problem would be that these classic adventure games requires a mouse to play it properly. I just can't imagine myself controlling a mouse cursor with the GBA's D-pad.
Norimaki
It worked pretty well with Secret of Monkey Island for the Genesis CD Drive ... And I remember originally playing the first Monkey Island game using nothing but a keyboard. I wouldn't mind too much.
digl
maybe you are right Iv also played the original MI games several times The interface should be improved a bit, some of the commands in MI were pretty useless (turn on, turn off, etc) they could have only a few commands, and some buttons could have default commands like view or use
