Moses Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 I suppose it would, but then again, if everyone had the same opinion, there would be no arguments. Not such a bad world if you ask me.
dazilla Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 I'd rather arguments and color than no individuality and black and white.
JPMaximilian Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 There would be no more real reason for forums or discussions or debates. It'd be nice if we all agreed on more stuff but our uniqueness is what makes things interesting. I don't think the world would be perfect if everyone agreed because the 'perfect' world wouldn't be boring.
dazilla Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 exactly...no need for any words or barely any communication of any sorts. Boy am I glad people have unique opinions.

Tell me you havn't read The Giver and I'll call you a liar. And to any of you pro-sameness people, I present to you any utopian science-fiction out there, most notably The Giver and 1984.
JPMaximilian Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 Ah, The Giver, classic book, very good. I thought it was depressing though, did the kid die or did it not really say?
Moses Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 Love wouldn't exist either. I mean, love for one specific person. Because everyone would be the same. Yeh, life as a robot would suck. I'm glad I'm human!
dazilla Posted January 26, 2002 Posted January 26, 2002 Originally posted by StarScrap Tell me you havn't read The Giver and I'll call you a liar. Belive it or not, I haven't read either the Giver or 1984, although I know what happens in 1984 quite well.

Liar. Alright, you can ignore that. The reason I said that I thought you had read the giver was that one of the things about it is that nobody can see color (more sameness). Oh, and it doesn't really say whether the kid dies or not.
