KordKelly
File Planet now has the Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza Demo available for download... 85 MB, three SP maps...no multi yet. I messed with it last night and it looks real good...I'll put it through it's paces later today;)
Graphicsgod
IMO, it sucks. And sucks bad. I HATE the Lithtech engine, not only does it make characters/models look goofy, but the levels are so full of bugs and graphical glitches. And it can't render sprites very well at all. I would rather have the Q2 or Half-life engine than to use that garbage. It's a miracle that AVP2 turned out semi ok using it.
Graphicsgod
After finishing the demo, I have to say the voice acting got better. But the whole thing could have been done using the Q3 engine, without any trouble. And it would have looked a lot better IMO.
Lord_FinnSon
Looks like Piranha Games used older version of Lithtech engine(perhaps Cobalt System as in NOLF) because Alien vs. Predator 2 looks much better(Talon System). Personally I have nothing againts Lithtech engine itself, because it evolves with each new game Monolith is working on and shows a lot of promise. Expect NOLF 2(Jupiter System) to look much much better; you might wanna check out this great video. What comes to Nakatomi Plaza, I think its biggest downside however are awkward controls, and music isn't exactly catchy.
StephenG
yeah, i didn't like it. they should have used a better/newer version of Lithtech. what were they thinking? is game isn't gonna sell.
Outlaw
I played through the demo over the weakend and liked it a lot. The graphics were top notch, photo real, and the best i've seen in the Lithtech Engine. Yes, I do have AVP2. The level design was dead on. I watched the movie after playing the demo and these guys perfectly recreated the sets. The bad guys have good AI. They flip up and hide behind desks, shoot around corners, and throw out funny comments. I'm purchasing this one the day its released.

StormHammer
I skimmed through part of the demo...and I have to say I'm not overly impressed with it. I'll take some time and play it through to the end, but I'm dubious about it at the moment. I'd certainly think twice about paying full price for it...but it might be okay as a budget title. Guest toms
a very mixed bag. starting it with an annoying time-limited chase isn't the best way to sell it. on the good side: i could get it to run fine on a k6-2 350 and a voodoo 3. the only chugging being if i changed weapons in a firefight. (why don't they load all the weapons into memory at the start???) a few times i found myself getting lost in the "die hardness" of it all and feeling like i was in the movie. the guy falling off the roof was funny. the AI of the terrorists seems quite good in places, taking cover if you are far away, pulling back if you flank their positions and attacking when you are forced to reload. on the other hand: the graphics are very grey. the levels are very small (demo is 4 out of 40 levels, and i completed it on hard in 30 minutes... therefore game = 5 hours long ) locked doors everywhere to limit your progress... very annoying (even worse than NOLF in this respect) AI sometimes bugs out and they just run right up to you headshots kill instantly, but you can unload a clip or two into their bodys before they die... but the inaccuracy of the weapons makes killing a total fluke... you might hit them in the head with your first round, or they might still be standing there after 3 clips) NOTHING is interactive. maybe i am spoilt, but in a small game with a very limited variation on levels i would have liked vases to shatter, photocopiers to work, to be able to push planters, tip over tables etc... would have worked better as a max-payne conversion... Darth Simpson
I thought it was okay, but nothing spectacular. Does anyone know how to switch the weapon over to the right side of the screen? Having it on the left really confuses me... =)
