hey i was wondering about the multiplayer maps... will they be big, open arena-type maps where everyone can just kick the crap out of each other by running-and-gunning? (like in QUAKE 3 or DMC) or... will they be more closed, with some strategic points... you know, with places / boxes that you can hide behind or different routes to different points (like in COUNTER-STRIKE). im really hoping that OUTCAST will offer the best of both worlds, so to speak, because id really hate it if OUTCAST was just another run-of-the-mill RUN AND GUN built off the QUAKE 3 engine... or an attempt to emulate COUNTER-STRIKE because there are certain things that OUTCAST is lacking to do so (reloading, team-based rounds, team-based objectives) but if you think about it, OUTCAST does seem like the type of game that will include both aspects into its multiplayer maps.
