Chato
hi all, Seeing that site, i decided to re-install that old JK1 on my comp and try to play on the net, i never tried it.... After many searches i wasn't able to find any servers, if someone here knows some ip (with players who know how to play if possible) then please post a reply, it would be cool. Thanx in advance Chato (excuse my english level, i'm french)
Hunter545
You could try to play on the zone for instance. http://www.zone.com I think a lot of players are playing there.
Agen
Welcome Chato, Have a Newbie's Spoon Replica Gift... you will find out more abotu the spoon as you stay here The Problem you have in finding servers is that JK is pretty pathetic at it You need to go onto the zone (http://www.zone.msn.com) and go go into Jedi Knight and select Nar... It'll ask you to install stuff.. just agree with everything... most is rubbish. You'll get Zone Freinds which isn't what it used to be (good). When you enter there'll be rooms so just select obne that suits you... there'll be weird Initials like FF. So i'll explain a few.... FF= Full Force is on NF=No Force NG=No Guns FFA= Free For All (like everyone jsut kills everyone in a big scramble) F4 etc= Means Force Level 4 and you do get other numbers There are other but i can't be bothered.... telling them.. Some other people are gonna add a few i bet but they're the main ones. Oh yeh i almost forgot..... You have to make a character for yourself so it's sperate from your sp character. It's pretty simple... choose you Force LEvel... some rooms don't allow you if you do'nt have a certain Force level character. But You're allowed as many as you want so it's no problem.. you'll get the hang of it
thrEEpaGe
the zone is so f***ed now its not even funny...i dont even bother any more....the zone's functionality has left it, they day they switched from the option to be able to log on with a local executable instead of logging on directly on their website....it became a pain.... /me misses the old 93k ZF.... ps2maddenman
The main thing I hate about the zone is it only supports 4 players.

It's hard to see that the zone used to be even good. But it still is the only way.
GunganHunter
Gamespy supports JK and its a million times better than the zone. I've had some great MotS games on there. The one problem is that it can be hard to find a game, because people aren't usually on
Kurgan
Yeah, the best thing is to invite a bunch of your friends over. I would recommend IP (+qtracker), but Gamespy is pretty good too. On the Zone, you can in theory just tell people your IP, and then play with as many as you want, and you can also set the game itself to have more than 4 players, and just kick people from the chat (at least you used to be able to) once they joined the actual gameplay. But I agree, the Zone had a lot of problems, it was just popular, not of very high quality or reliability. The Jediknight.net server boards are currently DOWN due to problems with the CGI.. hopefully someone will fix them soon, but I have no idea, and that's not my area of expertise. I can only suggest emailing Aristotle, ZeroXcape, and the others and let them know you want it fixed. ; )
