Ihatetheblind
OK, i am cheap. I cannot buy a geforce 4 999b00b135 with 64 terabytes of ddr in a cray computer. My questions are these: geforce 3: seems pretty good geforce 3 ti200: is this better than a normal geforce 3? it sure has a fancy name, but the fact that it's less expensive tells me it is not as good. The mx's they are cheap because they've only got 2 rendering pipelines instead of 4. But is there any point in the advancement of cards where that no longer matters. ie would buying a geforce 4 mx be better than a geforce 2 gts? i am more than a casual gamer, so I would like something with some punch without having to sell my future children to afford. so i guess my question is which one: geforce 4 mx 130 geforce 3 ti 200 130 geforce 3 64 ddr 200 help me, I'm blind, I cant make a graphics decision! Roger
Geforce 3 is the fastest out of your list. Ti200 has lower clock speeds but is still fast. The GeForce 4 MX is basicly a souped up Geforce 2 (I think), so forget about that one. You can also buy a Gainward Geforce Ti200 with 128 MB of RAM, for $170 at newegg.com. GUNNER
A long time ago Nob Akimoto gave me a list in order of how they rate. On http://www.anandtech.com they did a comparison of all geforce cards and the radeon 8500. Well no GF4 though. Go check this outhttp://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.html?i=1581
GUNNER
Here is how 15 different cards, mostly GF, stacked up on a Quake benchmark. They tried 4 different resolutions. This one was 1024..http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1580&p=7 just change the page number at top to see the whole article.
