Silenthunter
Peter Jackson directed LotR. But, I must say that this IS a stupid thread.
Sounds Risky
Sigh, you guys don't know the half of it. There was a petition somehwere to get Peter Jackson to direct Episode III, and if I remember correctly this was before Fellowship came out. It was really really sad. JPMaximilian
Won't George Lucas direct it. I know he didn't direct emp strikes back or ROTJ, but i figured he'd direct the prequels.
Sounds Risky
Yes, George is directing Episode III. Too many stupid people think Jackson should direct Episode III though.
Woad
Yeah I think it's pretty much set in stone that Lucas will direct all the prequels, unless he gets too busy on Indy 4(if that pipedream ever even happens) to do Episode 3.... That seems pretty unlikely though heh
Darth Bjorn
Indy 4?! What, "Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Dentures"? "Indiana Jones: Bingo Night at the Home"? "Indiana Jones: This Hat's Really Starting to Smell Musty"? :p

Woad
And the scary part is Harrison doesn't feel he is too old to play Indy again
Lord_FinnSon
First of all, Peter Jackson to direct Episode II? Some fans are simply going too far, when they start to think that even Lucas himself doesn't know how to make a good Star Wars story. It seems to me that there really are people who believe they own Star Wars themselves and don't want Lucas to ruin "their" story, which gets me really angry, because I used to write short stories and I can't even comprehend that someone would think he/she knows better than me ALL THOSE CHARACTERS WHICH I HAVE CREATED AND ALL THOSE LOCATIONS WHICH I HAVE IMAGINED MYSELF AFTER COUNTLESS HOURS! I think those people are simply spoiled brats who have grown up playing too much video games and can't stand the fact that movies are meant to be watched without interactivity! They should be glad that a guy like Lucas even wants to write these stories and let him guide them through those imaginative worlds. You can't ask for more! Secondly, I don't think Harrison is too old to play Indy once more IF they set this movie to happen somewhere in the 50s. That way they could easily jump over WWII, because using Nazis as villains is starting get really boring. If someone of you happen to remember The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles tv series, it featured 90 years old Indy, who used eyepatch, and even Harrison himself visited as Indy in the frame tale of the Mystery of the Blues episode set in year 1950. At least it proved that the character of Indiana Jones can still live and have adventures in that timeline. Movie could show how he losed his other eye and have Sean Connery reprising his role as Indy's father; I even remember Spielberg and Harrison speaking about Cate Capshaw visiting once again as Willie Scott from The Temple of Doom.
