Could this be any more perfect ;)

This is perfect! I haven't really been keeping track of any games lately due to the fact that most of them are being over hyped now days. But I just happened to stumble upon that JK2: JO would be out within 2 weeks. This couldn't be any more perfect since it comes out on Friday March 29th. I'm going to be off of school that Friday and then out all next week. That's going to be 10 days I will be able to play it ;) Now just to wait for SWGalaxies ;)

I have also just stumbled accross the game. I knew it was in development from reading the previews in PC Zone but I did not see much in that preview that made me want to go and find out more.

After seeing the trailer and seeing the game actually moving and doing 100 things not mentioned in the preview I realised this was not just another Star Wars game, my games mag had not done this game justice in its preview. Thats most likly because pictures only tell a thousand words where as this trailer says millions.

The trailer just blew me away, as did the 1st trailer when I checked out the website this morning. The main thing that got me was the music, because this game is being made by the film makers I can expect all the epic music from the film in the game, thats enough alone. The second was the wall walking. I really enjoyed the Kung Fu mod from Max Payne due to being able to run up walls, so when I saw the jedi run up a wall then immediately swing his lightsabre I was totally impressed.

The fighting looks awsome too, in one of the trailers he uses the handle of the lightsabre to take someones legs out and send him flying out the way, that was totally cool.

Is there any info on how these many moves are pulled off, taking someones legs out like that and the part where he thrusts the lightsabre behind him must take some serious key hammering like Severance?

WEll, we all havent played the game yet, unfortunately :) But, the developers tell us its not hard to control.

I guess you could say:

Easy to learn, hard to master (i hope thats a truth for jedi knight 2)

ChangKhan (from Ravensoftware) said the moves he did in that movie (including wall walk) where done with forward, backward, side strafe left and right, and crouch and jump keys

Plus primary fire for saber slashing and secondary for the saber throwing...

I'll explain :)

There's three levels of most Force Powers, giving better capabilities with each extra level, 3 being the best.

Now for saber throw, this means:

Level 1: Saber throws striaght ahead (i am assuming though, that if you walk onward it will not come straight back on its course but rather go directly to your hand)

Level 2: Saber is controllable to a certain degree in the air. We dont know how this works yet as we all havent played :)

Level 3: Saber starts seeking out enemies on its own...

I don't like the fact that some of the weapons seek enemies.. thats all good and fun in single player but for multi-player you should have to use the essence of skill in order to hit your enemies even though it will take some skill to avoid these attacks later on in the games lifespan these fetures will prove to lessen the experience cause everyone will be at a level to avoid such attacks thus rendering them usless.

I can only hope that there is an option that some servers will disable these abilities from seeker weapons so we can really get a feel for the weapons and allow more prediction instead of a muted version of prediction that seeker weapons would provide

Was just gonna say that Broode.

A stormtropper ins ingleplayer cant help himself when that saber comes lookin for him, but in multi, you just grab your own saber and block that bugger.

(I've heard that with a blocked saber throw it can even be possiblethat the saber doesnt go back to the owner, he'll have to force pull it back or pick it up again. Should this happen if youre fast witha saber throw of your own, bingo !? dont know if this is in final version)

Also, a quote form a developer during a chat:

"A true Jedi is never defenseless..."
