Where the guy keeps going through the same day over and over again?

I was just thinking, it would SUCK if that happened to me now... You know, less than 10 days away from release from JO, all hyped, and i have to go through that day again and again and i know it... JO so close but i cant have it...

ok end weird talk :)

Great flick, but it would suk more if it was coming out tomorrow and you had to relive today over and over.

Welcome to the club Cracken, Ive been a proud(not really) member of the club since 2nd grade (Before that, we were forced to give Valentines to someone else in the class, and everyone got one no matter what).

I think the only day worse than the day before JO, is the day before AOTC. Well, I dont know, we will have JO then. But if your computer broke on that day too, then that would be worse.

Yeah the day before AOTC will be pretty bad too (actually, i got two days to go then, it comes one day later here)

But then, i can start up JO, get one of the mods that undoubtedly exist, which adds a clone trooper skin... Make a bot match, me jedi, only clone troopers for rest, Jedi Master mode, i grab the saber, slaughtering time :)

Actually, V-Day isn't a big deal for me anymore. I've grown accustomed to the lack of cards. I hate Frebruary because it's just a crappy month. It's a transition month. Nothing happens. Think of history: nothing has ever happened in February.

heh heh, I still remeber Bill running off with the groundhog and driving over a ditch/cliff:)

U know come to think of it, I hate February as well, not because of V-Day but just......because...and school, aha, no more next year tho *and there was much rejoicing "Yay"*

Ahhh that's gotta be one of my favourite movies. I'd love to be able to do that.

It'd be awesome. I wouldn't want the day to finally go over to the next when some chick fell in love with me though. I'd wanna keep messin round.

The cool thing about doing that is (just like in the movie) you could basically do anything you want to. You could become a professional at many things! I also liked the part where he was driving with the groundhog "Ok now, don't drive angry." hehe...I know that was not verbatim but that's the best that I could remember that line.

I concur; an excellent movie

I hate Andie McDowell though; I dont know if it is just me, but something is not right with that woman. I dislike anytime she appears on the screen period.

Why don't you think of it this way: if you knew you'd wake up the next day in the same place AND in one piece, that would still be pretty cool. It would just give you an excuse to go on a harrowing raid of LucasArts HQ, armed to the teeth, to go get yourself a copy of JO. Sure, you'd probably get killed the first few times, but you'd eventually get the hang of it, and then you could do that every day! Nothing like a good, postal-worker-style bloody shooting rampage in the morning, followed by a good round of JKII (single-player, of course) before the rest of the world gets their hot little hands on it.

Or what you could do, is march into Lucasarts with a gun, hold it to someones head and make them tell you their deepest most dark secret that they wouldnt want to have let into the rest of the building/public.

then leave.

New day... come back, talk to that guy. Tell him to give you a copy or you'll tell people something you know. He won't believe you. tell him. Watch his face go white then walk out the door with JK2.

Tre, but i live in holland, so i'd have to do a 10 hour flight every day to go to LEC... so that'd waste almost my entire day...

Of course Activision UK is a bit closer :D

Aye, fortunately a 'ground-hogged' day today, yesterday, or anytime this week would allow for you to obtain a copy of the game... it's out there, done and boxed, waiting for a guy stuck in a seemingly infinite time loop to find a way to obtain it. :)

I'm sure you could do it, finding a way to get some play time by in at least the end of the evening. I would play till I passed out, then repeat the following morning. Unless of course finally getting to play JO would be the 'happy ending,' ala the Murry & McDowell hookup, that meant I would snap out of the loop. Then I would be responsible for whatever shoddy thing I likely did to own the game on such advanced notice... whoops.

Also, I agree about Murray, I enjoy him as an actor, and about McDowell as well- she has this lame wholesome housewife vibe going on about her that isn't attractive in the slightest (and is in fact a little bit repugnant).

Tune in next week for applications of another Bill Murry vehicle (Kingpin!) to JO? :)

That was a great movie.. probably Murray's best (next to Ghostbusters) IMHO. I'll have to pick up the new DVD sometime and watch it again. ; )

The thing I dislike most about her is that she is a raging hypocrit. I saw her make the talk show circuit a few years back, where she went ON and ON about how sexist Hollywood and TV is, and that women are portrayed as sex objects to a "disgusting degree" and society is pressuring girls to be "beautiful at any cost". Interesting side note, her #1 sponsor (to the tune of something like 4-5 Million last year) is Maybelline f***ing cosmetics, and every one of her commercials shows her kinda bent over with some cleavage showing, etc, etc. and here's the kicker, she utters Maybellines classic slogan, "Because I'm worth it!" at the end of them. Blech.

I loved Groundhog Day as a movie though. Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, and What about Bob are my fav Bill Murray flicks.

 (MacDowell on Letterman)

:amidala: (MacDowell on Maybelline)

hehehe
