Ever since i played GB i noticed it is tomuch like aok i was suggesting adding a stage 5and allow monuments enable u to build Crusers like Star destroyers or camali cruisers or droid control ships and change the pop limit to 400 and make the maps bigger like 10 times the size of giant to give it a more epic and galactic civil war feel.

Though it would definately add a more "epic Galactic Civil War" feeling, making maps 10X bigger than the current "giant" size would put a serious demand on your systems processor. In my heart I agree about the large maps (which in turn would allow for Capital ships) but in my head I know it just isn't feasible. Again due to processor strain (and VERY slow multiplayer), and secondly, the AoK engine does not allow for Capital ships, just a tad bit to large for a unit.

 

If it makes you feel any better, they are making Air Cruisers for the Add-on, which will be like small capital ships (As fas as range and weaponry strength goes).

SWGB does everything with sprites (not polygons), which enables it to have loads of detailed units on the screen at high resolutions without noticeable slowdown. Larger maps and higher population limits would just use up more memory and more processing power (for things like pathfinding).

 

And it's not possible to have any graphics more than about 800 pixels high -- beyond that, when you ought to see the edges of them, the game thinks they're too far away to bother drawing.

 

But... you could remove the whole land-based element and have everything in space, then scale down all the units (TIEs the size of Troopers, etc) which would let you have capital ships that look suitably large. But with the current inability to add new units, the limited number of existing air units would make it fairly pointless :(
