Paragon_Leon
Ok, i don't have the full game yet, but will have after this weekend. I'll start a very vigorous learning-curve and might consider joining or creating a clan. The thing is; i wouldn't be able to do much outside of the occasional online battle. If that's a problem for your clan, let me know.

Paragon_Leon
Judging from my subject-header, i'd say any clan on these boards.. I'm looking around.. Get ADSL very soon and will be online with the game from that time on. So i might have some more opportunities to play online and maybe even join a clan. But i never did that before, so i want to know what i might get into..
Guest Lord Tirion
Well first off, you are going to have to pay me tree fiddy. Then once in my clan, you will have to get me some perty looking chickies to party with us after we celebrate our many victories. Then we will all go to a nearby cantina, smoke the stuff, kick a few Bith's in the cahoonies and when they ask why, we will just shrug and say, Bith Happens and go on our merry way drinking some more. Then you will have to wax my personal Fighter for 2 weeks before you are accepted in and once accepted in, you will be obligated to throw a toga party. Pretty peachy eh? Paragon_Leon
...get YOU some perty looking...chickies ? My, you really lay the bar high, don't you ? Erm, to re-phrase the question: maybe someone can seriously describe what would be required...
Guest Lord Tirion
mods... In all seriousness now, each clan has their own method of recruiting members and accepting them. Some just let anybody in and dont care about their teamplay or their attitude. Some are very strict and only let the best players in. Some, like Nexsis, have a 2 week trial membership period to get to know the applicant and to let the applicant get to know the clan and the members to see if they are a fit for one another. Nexsis plays rm and Dm, but mostly on the dm side. We have members who strictly play rm as some who strictly play dm and some like me who play both. We have a doctrine which I posted not too long ago which is down at the bottom somewhere here on this forum. But basically, an applicant goes to our forum, answers 6 easy questions and then for 2 weeks, they play with our members to work on teamwork and get to know each other. Then after the 2 weeks are up, the Nexsis Senate votes on whether the applicant made it in or not. We do not only accept the best players as some clans have pinned on us. We accept any players who had a good attitude and is friendly. If they do lack the skills, then we help them in whatever game style the wish to play (rm or dm). Then once in the guild, its pretty much nothing but fun. Nexsis has a few events going such as the Robes of Mastery in which it keeps track of your points and according to how many wins you get, you acquire a new "robe of skill". It keeps the game fun and encourages teamwork on the zone. We are also having a galactic war when enough of our members finally get the game. Each member will chose what civ they want to be. Depending on what civ they chose, that will determine what team they are on. It is basically the Galactic Empire and Trade Federation vs all the good guy civs. I am going to draw up a map and each section or square on the map represents a game that must be played and the winner of that game claims that square. The objective is to conquer the whole map. We also believe in teamwork as our most important issue. Once a week we have a chat to discuss strats and then get in practice games to work on new strats and to help the members with their gameplay should they ask for tips and help. Thats pretty much what Nexsis is about.
Paragon_Leon
Now THAT is a pretty educated answer. Vespers... That clears up a lot. When you invited me over after our game, it got me thinking as to what a clan would involve and all.
