Master_Solo
Well, for some strange reason my question got deleted. Here it is: It seems from the movies that one of the Jedi's main attack and deffence tactics is deflecting their enemies' shots... FROM A DISTANCE. In the expansion, could the Jedi be improved so they can have some range (that could be less effective that close combat).
fido4fox
If I can still get a question in on this, I hope I can. I personally think we dont need any off canon civs like the Mon Cl and twi'leks, they just arent big enough to base any entire civ on, IMO. But my question is, will you ever make the custom level editor more user friendly? I consider myself computer savy, but I end up working for hours just to create a small map when I switch through all the menus and such.
Natopo
Here's my question: In my experience, I find allot of people who have trouble renaming units and changing their stats in the scenario editor. There are a couple of ways to do this, but they all involve triggers. Myself and others think it'd be so much more easier of you could edit the name of a unit and it's stats just by a menu or by clicking on the unit. It'd be a ton easier. And another one: Many people, including myself, have been confused by the moving power core. What's it supposed to do? Why is it there? Wouldn't it be easier just to build a regular one? And another one: I think that the lasers shouldn't be color coded. And the lasers need improvements. I'd like it if they looked better. More Smooth, more like the movies. If they're not color coded, and look more like what they do in the movies, I'm sure the game would be cooler. Last one: The Civilizations are not very unique. Basically everyone has the same units with different looks. Players need to get the feel that every race is different. I know the upgrades are pretty much like that as well. Make the races more unique so that we can get the feel that we're not playing AoK.
Guest DarthMaulUK
This is your last chance to put your questions to Garry Gaber. Over the weekend, I will be looking through the ones on here and finding questions to ask him. DMUK
General Nilaar
1. Will there be new music from the Episode II soundtrack added to the game? 2. Any chance we'll be able to rename recorded/saved games from within the game interface? 3. Are you worried that the expansion disk will split the online player base? Emperor Dan
#1 and #3 are good questions, there! The player base is already small.. will the XPACK divide it? Hey everyone, just buy the xpack!
Oversight99
Will the upcoming expansion or maybe even a patch address the frequent "Out of Sync" errors in multiplayer games? We've noticed that Out of Sync tends to happen more often under these circumstances: 1 - Games with 200 units 2 - Games set on "High" speed that are actually starting to run slower because of number of units/civs (And yes, we have verified that setting it to medium speed will cause the game to run just about the same rate once lots of units are active. and get fewer Out of Sync) 3 - Games with lots of Air Thanks, Oversight99
Oversight99
Another question: I've heard that the AT AT can now fire on Air as well (In the exp). This will make it quite powerful. I fear for the balance of other ground weak civs. Just wanted some comments on what other changes may be in store to make such a major increase in AT AT power not unbalancing. Thanks, Oversight99
Guest Robert
I want more Unique units. Thats all!
RequiesAeterna
My question: Are there any steps that you (LucasArts) are going to take to hype the expansion pack (and maybe the original game itself)? Currently, the main problem with the game is that there aren't enough people playing it. Part of it might have to do with the fact that many feel it's too similar to AOK (I personally think it's got a lot more depth than AOK ), but part of the problem I feel is that the game has gotten very little publicity. So, to re-phrase the question, what (if anything) are you going to do to attempt to boost the number of people playing this game and the expansion? Perhaps, a short blurb before the Episode II movie wouldn't be a bad idea? (Just a thought ). Thanks for the response beforehand, Req
JamesMartigo
Hey, my reply was gone.... my account too by the way Anyway, here's my questions again: 1. Are you planning on adding a 'blue screen' terrain type ? Terrain marked 'blue screen' will be replaced with a bitmap made by the scenario designer (just like the instruction bitmap). This will be a great tool for scenario designers, and will make modding less necessary. 2. Are you planning on adding 'blank' SLP's ? Blank SLP's could be for a number of new toybox units added solely for modders. Since they only require some stats, and a couple of blank icons, sounds, and graphics, they would take the design team minutes to include, but would provide modders with many new units. JubdaTroy
We have several ideas to create a whole different kind of multiplayer experience and something that could majorly prolong the life of SW:GB. Please take a look at this thread for the discussion - http://www.lucasforums.com/showthre...&threadid=36482 I was asking if the developers could create some kind of custom settings for multiplayer, I mean like a admin/spectator who runs the show sets the tech levels, max tech, max pop, resources etc for each player independatly. That would help us MASSIVELY!! The facility to watch would be great, like a referee, also can we have a facility to take snapshots/pictures of the final scores? I know you can use print screen but some graphic card drivers will produce artifacts instead of the expected end image. Kind regards. duder
You can get around that by having a player join the same team and player, and then resigning as soon as the game starts. This isn't ideal because the person who has resigned cannot speak to anyone. So yes a slot for people who merely want to spectate would be great, and surely not difficult to implement. lon
if it's not too late to submit a question you can find my inquiry about alien jedi/sith units at this link for a different thread: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37247 i figured that would be easier than cutting and pasting. thanks a bunch. -lon
