Neojin
Yes, I know how the world of server costs and advertising works... But I must say, I'm really surpised how many people still frequent here even with the abundance of ads. At any given time i've had up to 6 pop ups, along with the side banners that are hideously covering up the forum, and top banners. Now yes, there are programs and such to block these ads but does that not kind of defeat the point? If you know your posters are doing this, are you not loosing that "click" anyways? Most forums only have one banner up top, and the Occasional pop up. This is probably the most i've seen in awhile. I actualy pay to use EZboard, there are so many sites that support it that 7 bucks for half a year is minimal to get ad free surfing on every Ezboard site. Anyone agree, disagree? StormHammer
Welcome to the forums, Neojin. Here... *hands over a chocolate Jedi Medallion* There you go. Well, all I can say is if you know the costs involved, then you must be aware of the reason for the level of ads going on here at the moment. They've just added another server specifically to host the forums, so obviously the costs have gone up proportionally. I'm sure that as soon the costs of the servers are being met, the number of ads will go down again. And just an FYI...we like to keep the Valley focused on the game JKII, so I'm moving this thread to Yoda's Swamp, our off-topic forum.
bsbuckeye21
I try to click one add every once in a while. (*wink wink, nudge nudge* - do the same everyone. )
Amorpheus
No problem with the ads here, there's plenty of space for the forum left. I'm using Opera and block pop-ups all the time because they're just too annoying. But hey, I just clicked every banner I can see.

Hoonose
Try PopUp Ad Filter. It's a great, simple tray program that blocks the pop-ups. Hoonose
