Guest SDRAWKCAB Posted November 19, 2001 Posted November 19, 2001 I got GB today at CompUSA, and i installed it, no problem, but i cant play it! everytime i click on something in the main menu it says: "Please insert Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds into you CD-ROM drive and restart this application" I HAVE thE DISK IN THERE. it might be because i have a burner, but i put the CD in the CD-RW drive and it still doesn't work! plz help! oh, btw, you'll be seeing me around, i've been a Star Wars fan for years, have all the books, seen the movies a billion times, and looking forward to playing this game once it works.
Lord JayVizIon Posted November 19, 2001 Posted November 19, 2001 do you have a cd-rom and cd-rw drive both? if so, check under your control panel under settings and see which drive is your default setting (you can also go to multimedia under your control panel and see which drive is your default drive for reading music. click the cd tab button when you get there...)
Guest SDRAWKCAB Posted November 19, 2001 Posted November 19, 2001 i tryed putting it in both my drives... it doesnt work. plus the default drive is my regular CD-ROM.
Jordus1587246506 Posted November 19, 2001 Posted November 19, 2001 goto My computer, open CD-ROM (make sure disc is in there) then click the EXE file in the CD-rom to launch......it SHOULD work.....if not i recomment a reinstall.....if it persists conttact LucasArts customer service.
Guest Tie Guy Posted November 19, 2001 Posted November 19, 2001 Ok, do you have the "PLAY" disc in. there are two disks in the case ya know. I did the same thing the first time, i didn't even notice the second CD.
Guest camerog Posted November 19, 2001 Posted November 19, 2001 Definatley follow Tie Guys advice. Disk 1 is install only disk two is for gameplay
Brac64 Posted December 9, 2001 Posted December 9, 2001 I think what is happening to u happened to me too. After i installed the game the computer wouldn't read the second disk. I just put the first one in and went to play game, then when i was on the main screen i took out the game and put in the second disk. That seemed to work for me.
Zygomaticus Posted December 9, 2001 Posted December 9, 2001 if none of these work take it back to the store and tell them its not working and get another copy
