cant exec *.cfg ???

this is a weird one..... i cant get either:

 

C:\JK2\GameData\jk2mp.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec maplist .cfg

 

or:

 

C:\JK2\GameData\jk2mp.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg

 

to work.... the console launches, and for the server.cfg, i get a "couldnt exec server.cfg" error message, and when the maplist.cfg runs, i just get a "execing maplist.cfg" message, and nothing else.....

 

any ideas? ive run many a q3 dedicated server, and rtcw, but ive never been able to "Not exec" ????

 

the *.cfgs are in my C:\JK2\GameData\ directory, and in my C:\JK2\GameData\base directory, but still no good.....

 

ive even created a batch file trying to exec the cfg's to no avail...

 

heres the contents of my maplist:

 

set d1 "map ffa_bespin ; set nextmap vstr d2"

set d2 "map ffa_deathstar ; set nextmap vstr d3"

set d3 "map ffa_imperial ; set nextmap vstr d4"

set d4 "map ffa_ns_hideout ; set nextmap vstr d5"

set d6 "map ffa_raven ; set nextmap vstr d7"

set d7 "map ffa_yavin ; set nextmap vstr d1"

 

and heres my server.cfg:

any ideas anyone?

Not sure what the problem is, I have my short cut

D:\Games\JK2\GameData\jk2mp.exe +exec gz.cfg +exec server.cfg

and they load fine, but your g_motd wont load, I got that error saying it doesnt know what it is, even though its a q3 command. I am not doing dedicated though so I am not sure what the difference would be. I tried it with the dedicated command and it still loads the cfg's, so I am not sure what the problem would be.
