3d sound on jedi knight

what formats of sound does jk2 support i have a Sb live games 5.1 (eax , dsound) will i be able to hear 3d sound (4.1 ) i mean i dont want to hear it like rtcw cause i could only get stereo , please write if you are getting 3d sound with audigy , or sb live please help this games will rule with 3d sound , thanx in advance.

if your setup properly then u should hear everything 3d

things to the left are to the left, things above to the right sound just so.

least for me they are.

as for EAX its in there according to Ravens FAQ, and can be turned on, but its untested and unsupported.

i like it myself, but it has a few glitches, for one thing, u can't hear friendlie's chatter over the com to well

I don't think there's any reverb in the game. But I definitely hear 3d sound after modifying the config file a little. And it's outstanding, IMHO.

s_UseOpenAL 1

 

in the console and hit ENTER.

HOw do you enable direct sound 3d.

I'm pretty sure the game is only running in stereo.

It seems developers are going backwards with respect

to developing for sounds.
