Stop Killing My Server :: Need Patch

ok i run a few servers.

Jedi Outcast - 63.69.175.75:28070

Wolfenstien - 63.69.175.75:27961

Quake 3 - 63.69.175.75:27960

 

have been doing so for the last 4 years

 

seems like there are several exploits already aparent here in MP

 

the one i am concerned about is the one that will kill my server

in JO...

 

if any one has seen there server aparently recieve a /kill server comand, please let me know..

 

i know my cfg's are pretty sraight forward & work.

 

but certain players know how to bring this thing down, & that sucks the big A

Heya Dr. It's |GW|MatrixCPA. I admin a couple of RtCW servers myself. Of course, that doesn't leave me with much time to visit TL. But, when tax season is over...I'll try to make more time.

 

Anyway, if you're getting seg faults when the server dies. That's the same exploit used on Q3 point releases 1.29f/g. I've tested it out myself and it's the same vulnerability. I've taken my server down until they release the patch. I'm sure being a Q3 admin, you probably remember all that. If you need any specific info, just PM me on the PW forums (MatrixCPA).
