Scary_Tooth Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 Lightsaber man...Lightsaber!...get it right!. Try Gamespot
RedEye Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 I've heard of it but I didn't get it work I think "lasersword" is the German version
Guest PissedJedi Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 WTf is a lasersword.. and what game is he playing?
MarlekZane Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 Well... he's not all wrong. If you look at one of the earlier drafts of Star Wars it actually *is* referred to as a 'laser sword'. Lightsaber came later in the process. Just a little useless trivia.
GRIMLOCK Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 since no one directly answered him. in multiplayer drop the console (Shift + ~) then type devmap mapname to activate a server with cheats then in console type \thedestroyer make SURE your lightSaber/LaserSword is OFF!! if it worked than the duel edge one will automaticaly activate in your chars hands and no the command is \thedestroyer and NOT /thedestroyer its \ not / as most console commands are
Dan12R Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 I can't get it to work for me. It gives me some error message when I try typing devmap
enDless_Deliriu Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 Laser sword and light saber mean the exact same thing people a laser is light. a saber is a sword so it could be a "Laser Saber" (I like how this one sounds) or a "Light Sword" Even with how it's made and all a Lightsaber is basically a laser sword. It's a sword made out of concentrated light (or a laser). and what is the error message you get?
forethought Posted April 3, 2002 Posted April 3, 2002 Grimlock: Actually, the command '/thedestroyer' is the one that works for me, not '\thedestroyer'. It seems to be different for some people. Why, I don't know, but I know it works for me, and for others it works the other way. Dan: Make sure you're typing in this format: devmap ffa_mapname So, if you wanted to start the Deathstar level with cheats on, type in the console: devmap ffa_deathstar Make sure you don't enter the file extension, and make sure you're spelling the file name for the map right. And make sure you have your lightsaber closed down when you enter the destroyer code. Hope that helps.
BCanr2d2 Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 What they didn't make really clear is that you have to be the host of the server, not someone logging on to use it. You need to find a server that has cheats enabled, then type in the command to "Maul" away!
DPRODIGY Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 yes sir you is hardcore starwars fan boy.. light *Saber*
Pol Favre Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 lasersword...hmm...(snickers) i didn't like the two way lightsabre...
Wes Janson SMR Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 Germans call it a "Laser Sword". In German...of course. Anakin called Qui-Gon's 'Saber a "Laser Sword". Technically, calling 'Sabers Laser Swords isn't wrong. It's like calling a gun a "firearm". But Lightsaber sounds much cooler. ;-)
MadSnowman Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 i want the double sided lightsaber in SP. anyone know how?
Darth Sane Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 Anakin also says "Wizards!", thinks Jar Jar Binks is the greatest thing sinced sliced Pantu bread, has the nickname Annie, gave C-3P0 that anal personality of that he has, and dangit, that punk can't act! *huff* *huff* *Grrrr*
Pol Favre Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 lol the kid was very very annoying. he sounded like he had a stick in his ass or something. i found most of episode one had that kinda acting tho.
Valdarious Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 Actualy it was his friend that say Wizards! and to comfirm your quote about his nickname, his friend said Wizards Annie(brings bunny foo foo to mind, lol). Not sure if Anikan actualy said it, did he? But still I do get your point.
