JediMouse
I have a Logitech mouse with an extra button (under the thumb; usually use it for browser "Back"), and I cant bind it to anything either. Also couldn't do anything with the throttle control on my Logitech Attack2 joystick. Sucks, I know. Now, I pretty much use the mouse for free look (which includes turning, of course), primary and secondary fire, cycle weapons with the wheel, and use forward, backward, jump and stuff on the keyboard. I'd love to be able to modify this, to use my joystick. I'd like to use the stick to free look, the throttle to do forward and backward, and the extra buttons for fire, jump, etc. Until a patch or something comes out for this particular stick (or throttles in general, I guess), I'll just have to wait. Asa Smbal
I noticed with my MS Optical mouse that if I'm using the USB-to-PS/2 adapter that came with it then the 4 and 5 buttons won't work at all, but if I'm not using the adapter and have the mouse plugged into a USB port then I get full functionality of my 4 and 5 buttons. If anything hit Microsoft's site and download the latest drivers for the Optical mice. Hope that helps...
OnlyOneCanoli
Very strange. I have JKII on two systems in my house, both with the same mouse you have. On both computers, the mouse works fine. Sorry I can't help. But I'm going to move this to our Tech Support forum.
The_BZA
same thing here, USB seems to be more reliable for button bindability. i used a PS2 adaptor for 15 minutes and my mouse lagged and i lost my side button functionality. sorry dude. the USB is strong in this one. USB the force.
HC - Exar Kun
Heres what I had to do for my Intellimouse Optical Trackball (same as the mouse) 5-Button setup You'll need to run your Intellimouse software when you start your system up... For some reason it doesn't always load the 5-button setup... THANKS MICROSUCK ! I reccomend your place the Intellimouse shorcut in your start-up folder (you'll have to click ok everytime your desktop starts up) Setup all your keys through the Intellimouse software DO NOT BIND THEM THROUGH JEDI OUTCAST !!!! Setup your Intellimouse buttons as keystrokes if you want custom controls for the buttons. You can do this for the wheel as well. I have my extra 2 buttons setup as keystrokes for strafing. I just used the letters A and D as keystrokes for the Left and Right Buttons in the Intellimouse software. That should fix your problems ! You may want to check the mouse software every time you play JO just to make sure they're still setup correctly.
