eastcoast2895 Posted April 4, 2002 Posted April 4, 2002 is there a way to disable the lightsaber in mp. i know the g_weaponDisable command, but does anyone know the number to put after it to disable the saber?

eastcoast2895 Posted April 4, 2002 Author Posted April 4, 2002 granted the lightsaber is the best thing ever, but if you've played mp with only bots, which i have to do on a 56k modem, you'd notice that the bots mostly use lightsabers, i am trying to get it so the bots can't use the lightsaber and use the other weapons.

Modify the bots provided -- if you set the last three digits of its force power code they won't ever use a lightsaber. -- or you could set it that they prefer all other weapons first, in which case they'll only pull it out if they're out of ammo for all the other weapons.

Really? I'm not doubting you, just that seems odd. I played around for a bit a few days ago, loaded up like 5 "TK421" bots, in a FFA. Not one ever used a saber in the 10 or so min's I played. They all just grabed guns and fired.
eastcoast2895 Posted April 5, 2002 Author Posted April 5, 2002 they did mostly use their guns, but usually when they got close to each other they used their sabers. lately i notice that most the bots use weapons mostly but almost all the time, when they get real close they use sabers and don't back away to use their guns. i want to play so the bots that will use the gun all the time. that or the only time they use the saber is when they run out of ammo or the only other weapon that has ammo is one that can hurt them in close range.
