I consider myself a pretty good dueler, I beat almost anyone I duel with. (I am not bragging) But I didn't get good because of lessons, I got good from shoving myself out into the fray and learning to adapt. If your in a school and everyone is fighting one way, you will only learn to counter that one way. You have to learn by yourself how to react to different situations as you come at you.

 

I think you're missing the point. The general idea of the academy is to learn the basics so that you can apply them to real battles. A seasoned soldier maybe better than one fresh out of the academy, but would have that soldier survived to become a veteran without formal training? How many posts are there with people asking "How do I do such-and-such move?" I think creating an envionment - no, a sanctuary - where people can come to learn these moves and tactics so that they can apply them to real MP battles is a good idea.

I'll join and if you edit the Jedi Academy Map so there are more rooms instead of 3

1 for each force power and a special one where you face a Dark Jedi (like in The Empire Strikes Back with Luke and Vader) as a test room to finish training
