okay I am haveing trouble running the movies in JK2 when it is showing the spoace ship flying by ect. The game it's self runs fine, the in game movies whe characters are talking ect run fine but once get to the ones where the ships are flying after the level the audio is choppy and I am lucky if I can make anything out at all becuase I barley get any audio it is so chopy. Although the acctual movies seems to run pretty good it seems as if it is just the audio

System

Celeron 600

256mb ram

GeeForce 2 MX/400 64mb

I am running the game at

640X480

trilinear buffering (although even on Bilinear it doesn't change)

low texture detail

medium geometric detail

and default texture colours

any help to solve this problem if it can be would be helpful

Thanks in advance

i get the exact same thing.. movies are just fine, then the audio goes crazy. sounding like a radio changing channel, then dies completely

my spec.:

SY-P4I Fire Dragon ATX

128mb GeForce4 PowerPack Ultra/750XP ViVo

SoundBlaster Audigy Platinum EX

intel Pentium 4 Xeon Northwood 2000MHz

Kingston 512MB ddr ram

speakers: phillips A3-500 Acoustic Surround Power

i am running the game at the highest setting possible as my specifications are well above the recomended and it runs fine.. only the movies does this..

My movies play somewhat similar, it is like enviroment noise is matching vocal noise in dBs and I have to really turn up my speakers if I care to listen to Kyle speak to people (no in-game sound setting changes this).

I have finished the game as of last night. I would say to continue to play. Do not let the cutscene audio stop you from playing if regular game audio is working fine. All the cutscenes have text associated with the speech. I just read the text instead of cranking my speakers and still knew exactly what was going on.

Check your sound settings in JO

Try using Low Quality sound instead of High.

Otherwise you might try disabling any surround sound support from your Audigy or Live or whatver sound card you have.

Just use Stereo sound instead.

Use Normal MultiSpeaker in EAX environments

if you have more than 2 speakers.
