ChronoWarrior
Ok, i'm trying to bind my "=" key to screenshot. How do I do this? I pull up the console and type "/bind = screenshot". Thats right isn't it? It's not working.
SaberPro
You need to double quote the "=" so: /bind "=" screenshot That will work
ChronoWarrior
meh, its not working. Will it say something? Like screenshot taken? Do I have to go into an image program and paste or something?
SaberPro
No... Remember to have / for commands... Trying pressing your =...it should say Screenshot Taken shot0000.jpg or something /bind "=" screenshot Good luck hehe
ChronoWarrior
I figured it out.......you don't need the /. I just typed: bind "=" screenshot and it worked. lol thanks anyway.
Valdarious
Actualy you dont need "s on the = mark. The Q3 engine doesnt need them. If anything the older engines (Q and Q2) needed " around the actual command (bind = "screenshot"), but q3 doesnt really need this either.
camp3r
if my memory serves you only needed to use " " in the past when there was a space in what you were trying to do like name teh loozer if you typed it in like that it would change your name to teh but using name "teh loozer" it would be correct this "space" rule may still apply i haven't paid much attention also screenshot_tga gives you uncompressed screeenies i have to use this because for some reason the jpg screenshots are garbled on my system..
