Skins in multiplayer

I downloaded a bunch of skins and can use them when i create a server but when i join a server i dont get the oprtion to pick them.

Whats up?

 

Also i would like to send out a request for a Kyp Durron skin or just the regular white jedi robes , like obi wan from ep 1, also any and all book characters, i love the Keiran skin as Corran is one of my favorite characters.

You can't choose the skins if:

 

The server does not have the skin in their files.

 

That is why you can have the skin on your server, as the game will read through your files and find your skin as one of the ones available for selection, by you.

 

Everyone that accesses your server won't be able to use the skin if they don't have it on their machine however, and you will probably show up in the Kyle skin to them, even thought you appear to yourself to be running around in your modified skin.

i thought Q3 ( and thus JKII) supported server downloads..

 

 

meaning if the server has a map or skin or anything you don't have you will download it form the server (UT had this and it was VERY nice)..

 

i figured that was what the Allow Downloads option was about.. whether you want to allow your client to download mods the server is running...

Yes. I have seen that option, it definitely exists.

 

Thankfully there's not anything to download yet so no painful 900byte/s downloads!
