GooglyMoogly
I'm sure there are only a small percentage of players that may feel like I do, if you aren't one of them then this will mean nothing to you. IT'S NOT WHETHER YOU WIN OR LOSE, IT'S HOW YOU SWING YOUR SABER. I've been the top player on servers and I've been the bottom, but no matter what...as long as I fight the good fight, I'm happy. Darthtoast
Finally, someone who admits that they don't always 'own those newbies'. Same here, sometimes I'm good, sometimes I'm not. It's still fun either way (okay, a little more fun when I'm playing well).
Retro
I dont try, nor expect to be at the top, why? Because personally I dont find going into 6 people and swinging heavy stance to show any sign of skill. I run around with my sabre off, looking for duels, sometimes I get attacked, sometimes I dont, when I do, I just give him a swift kick in the face and run off. Or, if it's a map like streets or factions, I try to kick them off into oblivian

Emon
In sabers I'm rarely higher than in the middle, even though it's tons of fun. At guns I'm usually always at the top, but that's because I like being a sneaky bastard and pulling a thermal on someone in the middle of a saber fight, or dropping a remote turret

Darthtoast
I normally stick with medium. Just a few minutes ago, I decided to try hard. I took a swing in the middle of (I think... my computer was going DAMN slow) 6 people and got 3 in one swipe! Of course... I was turning the mouse like a madman so my hit did like a 120 degree swirl... and I'll never use hard again. It was funny as hell at the moment, but I wanna get good at killing people, not swing 'n pray

So what do you say to people who always lose? Who never have the satisfaction of actually being on top at least once?

Darthtoast
I think that everyone should start at the bottom or somewhere nearby. If someone can come in on his first day and own, then the game is too easy for anyone to learn. I do realize that some skills transfer from game to game, but I personally hope that there are enough differences from game to game to make a learning curve. Foxbatkllr
I whole heartedly agree with everything that's been said here. I started out horribly, always at the bottom. But since then i've always tried to fight with honor (and by that i mean not going after cheap kills). By playing hard against really good players, I've now become much better, and recently I have been finishing in the top 2 most of the time. And I know where I need to improve (defense against the strong stance). So I will continue to fight honorably and to learn from my mistakes, rather than just going around and getting cheap kills. After all, cheap victory is like a cheap wine. Bitter and with a very bad aftertaste.
Emon
I don't really get CHEAP kills, but I get sneaky ones, like sniping with the Disruptor on Nar, or using that Remote Sentry in the hanger of the Death Star level. I never do cheap stuff like attack someone with their saber down, etc.
