How come the lightsaber doesn't function in water

It did in the first game and it does in the books.

 

Not a major thing but a "niggly hitch" per se.

The best effect is when the rain hits you lightsaber and sizzles with a puff of smoke.....very nice affect. It also looks cool when you put the end of you lightsaber in water and watch the water bubble

When I first saw the rain effect on the saber, I was so much in awe. I was thinking, "Wow, they have thought of everything..."

 

Haven't tried the boiling water trick yet.
