Twinstar02
Is there someway to turn certain parts of models off? For example, the torso map for Jan shows a full shirt but it is hidden by her vest. Can the vest be disabled somehow? By either switching a value somewhere or using a color that registers as transparent on the vest map perhaps? Any info would be appreciated. cheers, Twinstar
Arco
I already posted about this. in the .skin file write no draw instead of the skintexture name... eg instaed of janlegs.tga or whatever just write nodraw. But you will probly get holes an stuff in it.
Phuzzy
Here's a not-so-obvious addition to this question. I'm creating a new skin using the desann model and the new skin does not require any eyes (which get included). I've gone through the .skin file and found no file listing that I could find the eyes that seem to keep getting added. Any ideas where I might find desann's eyes? He doesnt have a mouth_eyes file for his model Thanks in advance
mightypea
here you're in a tad bit of bad luck i'm afraid. desann's eyes are on his headmap (the purple thing, i suppose) and they're not listed seperately in the .skin-file you could paint them black i suppose (or, if this game has the same shadersupport that q3 did, you could use an alphamap, but this way (and the nodraw way) would make him have just holes where his eyes where. there's NO way of taking out the eyes without getting the holes not without remodelling that area anyways... *m
