Dvlos
damnit! I sent an email to Lucasarts asking them why in the trailer they have that cool swirling blue shield effect in the game and told them that mine didn't do that. Their response was this "Thank you for writing, that is a small hardware issue, nothing more, you shouldn't worry about it." I have replied to this LEC idiot but I think he is outside smoking mushrooms sprinkled with cocaine. Now that plenty of people in the states and UK own this game... do you guys play with the swirling blue shield effects or the dumb yellow line? Compa_Mighty
Yikes, I've been writing to Gamespot, and they didn't answer, I don't have the game yet, but it seems it shows the yellow line. But I agree with you, it should look with the blue energy field.
StarWarsFanMan
If I'm not mistaken, all of the versions have the yellow line. Mine does anyway. I think they used the yellow line because it's easier to see. But, I think the blue swirl looks much better and I hope there's a patch to fix that in the future. General Theros
Do you guys have a link I can go to see this swirly blue energy of a force field....I don't remember ever seeing blue shield effects! Guest Mr Kranky
The Screenshot of the Blue sheild looks cool but if I was playing the Gungans and had 2 or more Fambaa's in my army, the screen would be a cluster of blue tinted pixels. The yellow ring works fine for me. It doesn't dominate the screen with unnessasary graphics durning a large battle. I think LEC change the appearance of the sheilds because of this. Guest VashtheStampede
Yep, I saw those Sheild effects in the new GB trailer. I thought the same thing. I was like "That's an awesome effect! why doesn't mine do that?!?!" It must be because it must have eaten ram during battles with world populations above 150. I wish they would have given us an option to turn it on and off.....

Dvlos
I would prefer the option. For example if I play single player it never ever lags even in 4 player DM's so i would turn it on, or you could lower hte res.. something.. I could live with the effect toggled but they SHOW YOU the game with the effect, then they ship it without as much as an option or a word about it.. it would be cool if Lucasarts at least gave me an intelligent answer.
